Converting ePub files to mobi for kindle 3 E reader?

I currently have a samsung E60 and it displays my ePub files easily. My mums getting an e reader and would like to have my books. However she wants to get a kindle 3 and obviously I’ll have to convert the ePub to a mobi format. I was just wondering if anyones had any problems with this?
The files were orginally PDF then converted to ePub by the way any opinions on the kindle 3 and whether its worth it are welcome.

If the ePub files are not encumbered with Digital Rights Management, you should be able to use a program called Calibre to convert them to Kindle format. Since these used to be .pdf files, I doubt there is a problem.

I have a Kindle 3 and thoroughly like it. As you have noticed, it doesn’t play well with other eReaders, but as an eReader, and with Amazon’s system, it’s great.
