Can I charge my Kindle in Ireland?
I am leaving for Ireland in 10 days. I want to bring my newly purchased Amazon Kindle, but I will need to charge it there. I do not have any adapters or anything, just the charging plug that came with it. Is there any additional equipment that I will need to charge my Kindle in Ireland? Also, can you please provide a link to anything that will need to be purchased? Thank you!
You will definitely need an adapter plug to charge your Kindle. If you search Amazon, you can probably find one like this for only about $10.

This plug will also come in handy if you plan on charging your laptop, cellphone, or using accessories such as a hairdryer or straightener, etc.
You may also want to check if you have the International Version of the Kindle. The International Version will allow you to download books, newspapers, etc, while you are abroad. If you do not have this version, you will still be able to access what you have already downloaded, but you may wish to stock up on some new books before leaving the States.
Also- if you have a daily/weekly subscription to a paper/magazine/etc on your Kindle, you may want to investigate whether or not there will be surcharges for receiving these while you are abroad.
