Amazon’s Kindle Wireless Reading Device

Amazon has released the new Kindle reading device. It weighs a little over 10 ounces, and is almost a third of an inch thick. These dimensions make the device even easier to use than a conventional book.

Amazon Kindle is specially developed to allow for comfortable use, especially as many people tend to read for long periods of time. You can turn the pages of any book you’re reading using your right or left hand, with page-turning buttons located on both sides of the device. Kindle’s newest version has page-turners which are set in such a manner as to prevent accidental operation when not in use.

The device also has an innovative, user-friendly 5-way interface, which allows the user to navigate accurately to any point on the screen or page, and even highlight content or search for specific words.

You don’t need to have a computer to get the Kindle to work. You can read your favorite books as soon as you take the device out of its packaging. There’s no need to set anything else up.

The newest Kindle can sustain a charge in its battery 25 percent longer than the previous version. The device does not require periodic charging, even if you use it for days on end. The battery charge cans sustain the Kindle if the wireless function is turned off. When you do need to recharge your Kindle, you can plug it into a wall socket with the Kindle adapter, or connect it to a desktop computer or laptop via a USB 2.0 cable that comes with the package. If the Kindle’s battery charge is spent entirely, 4 hours is all it takes to get the power back to maximum.

Kindle users can find content and download it almost instantly, through a combination of Sprint’s speedy 3G information network and Amazon technology, resulting in the Whispernet network. Any downloaded literature is completely stored in the Kindle in less than sixty seconds. Whispernet does not work using hotspots, so users can access the network anyplace and anytime.

The convenience of the Whispernet network is free of charge to the Kindle user. There are no hassles involved, such as bills, data plans, or contracts. Amazon takes care of the device’s wireless connectivity, so the Kindle is really all you need – and it works right out of the box.

The books in your library will never be out of reach with Kindle. An online library stores a list of books downloaded from Whispernet. If any information is lost or erased, you won’t have to pay a cent to download the content once more. You can also store other information, such as annotations made to a book, or pages you’ve bookmarked, all online and easily accessible.
