Before you buy an e-reader, there are considerations to be factored in. It’s important to feel that you’re getting a good value for the money that you spend. Second, determine the desired features. Since it’s relatively easy to find product details, descriptions, and user write-ups of their experiences, you should be able to easily decide on the best ebook reader for your lifestyle. Better still, if you can find people who have tried or who own ereaders among your family and friends, do some research among those with hands-on experience. Desirable features may include slim and sleek dimensions, clear screens, an ergonomic keyboard design, and fast downloads, to name a few. And it pays to know how many and what types of reading materials are available at the seller and/or manufacturer’s online store.

Third, discuss whether any customer support is offered. Sooner or later, you will run across problems either with the device or with the e-books or both, so it’s best to have expert advice to resolve these issues as soon as possible. Of course your own plans and desires for your purchase are the most important aspect in your eventual choice of the best ebook reader. Two major manufacturers basically have the digital book reader market sown up.
