Kindle Freeze Reset

My Kindle 2 is frozen and won’t do anything!?

Hi, I have a Kindle 2 and I adore it. I got it two christmases ago and I’ve never had a problem with it. Until now. All of a sudden it won’t turn on. It charges but the screensaver thing will not go away. I’ve tried all the possible reset things I’ve found on the internet but nothing works. I’m really sad; I’m going to college in the fall and so I put all my favorite books on my K2 so I wouldn’t have to lug them around and now my K2 won’t work. I’m also a little scared because in the bottom right corner of the screen, it appears as though it was trying to turn on because the picture it as showing looks like it was rubbed away. Is there any hope for my K2 or will I have to replace it?

Just e-mail Amazon and ask for their help. They have great support. They might even replace your unit for free. (I’ve heard that happen quite a few times in similar situations).
