Kindle Jpg Viewer
Can I Do That With Kindle Too?
The Kindle is a hardware and software platform developed by Amazon. This lightweight and compact device is an electronic book reader or ebook reader that can download, store and read e-books. You can also read blogs, newspapers and magazines on the Kindle, as well as play audio books and other audio files.
Here are five little known functions that you can do with your Kindle:
1. Use GPS Functions.
Not a lot of people know that by using Google Maps and the EVDP network, your Amazon Kindle can be turned into a GPS unit. You simply need to go on the Kindle’s Browser Mode and press Alt + 1. Alt +1 will show you your current location, while Alt +2 will show you the gas stations closest to you. Alt +3 will search for restaurants that are nearby and Alt + 5 will conduct a keyword search.
2. Play Minesweeper. The Amazon Kindle comes with Minesweeper. In order to play it, you simply need to press Alt +Shift + M. The letters I, K, J and L help you navigate your way around the screen, while the letter M is used to mark a mine. The spacebar opens a cell.
3. Enable Clock.
Not a lot of people know that the Kindle has a clock. In order to view it, go to the Kindle’s Home screen, then hold down Alt + T. You can also press search and type @time. If you view the time as you are reading a book, the Kindle will display the time in words.
4. Flip Through Pages Quickly.
If you want to skip through pages of your e-book quickly, there’s no need to repeatedly press the Next button. Simply hold down the Alt key and the Next or Previous key of this ebook reader in order to skip through 5% of the book at a time.
5. View Pictures.
Not many Kindle owners know that you can view pictures on this device. To activate a basic picture viewer, make a folder labeled “pictures” in the root of the SD card or the Kindle drive. Place your pictures inside a subfolder. Kindle can open formats such as jpg, gif and png. Go to the device’s Home screen and press Alt + Z. Your folder should appear and you can start viewing your pictures.
