The scroll strip on my 1st gen Kindle is not visible(no silver squares at all in the…?

…strip). Anyone know a quick fix?
The Kindle wouldn’t power on recently so I reset it using the Reset button behind the battery cover. This allowed the Kindle to power on, but now the scroll strip is not showing, making my Kindle use impossible. Is there any way to fix this outside of calling Kindle support?

I think your system is foobar.
If it is under warranty, then there is a chance they replace it with the
new model (because the human cost or repairing is often more than the cost
of the new hardware).
