Will leaving your kindle in sleep mode ruin the screen?

just like anything if u leave that image on a screen to long it will burn that image on the screen

Yup i use to do that a lot eventually the battery died and the kindle was no longer functioning…so once in a while you can put it to sleep but seriously turn it off when you’re not going to use it for a long period of time
