What to get Mum for Christmas?

Mum’s had a hard year and as I have a part-time job and also get EMA (for those who don’t know, it’s just basically getting paid to go to college, I’m 16) I really want to get her something she’ll love. I asked her and she was just like, ‘Uhm, socks or slippers’. But I wanted to get her a gadget or something. I looked at the eBook Kindle but I don’t know if you have to pay to download books and she doesn’t have much time to read, plus she likes to read in the bath and I’m not sure if it’s true or not that the Kindle is very durable and can get wet and stuff.
Her computer is Windows XP and very slow (I suspect viruses) and I was thinking a laptop or something but they’re all too expensive, too.
So, ideas on a gadget for mum? I’m quite keen on the Kindle idea, but I’m still not sure. Mum likes – horseriding, reading, computers (internet), she loves stationairy like pens, notebooks, etc.
Sooo .. ideas? Price range preferably no more than £100.

They arent that expensive now, and i think this would be the best idea as no matter how much you spend on them, everyone prefers something that means to them.
