Kindle Special Offers Remove

Is there a hack to remove the “special offers” feature on the new Kindles?

I thought the old screensavers were bad on the Kindle…the “special offers” screensavers are way worse. Is there a hack out there for removing or changing those irritating screensavers.

My understanding is that the “Special Offers” screensavers are programmed in. The only way to avoid them is to buy the regular Kindle.
