should I ask for the amazon kindle???????

ok my b-day is comming up and I was thinking about asking for one for x-mas
I’m 13 would this be a good investment for me????
also I love to read
my faves are:
the clique series
the private series
and other tween books
are any of these avalible in the kindle store
B.c I read some reviews and they said that many of the books wanted were not avalble
kindle owners help!!!!!!!!!!
also people also said that there were hidden Internet charges is this true????
please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-)
also I have 2 more questions:
1. Wat is the difference between an ebook and the books from the kindle/amazon store
2. If a book is avalible thru amazon does this mean that it is aalible for the kindle????
thank you so much
:-)

Its wireless, there is no computer involved.

I think Kindle is a good idea, its pretty pricey but the books are slightly cheaper and no shipping costs so technically it will pay for itself eventually. It holds 200 titles, thats alot of trees saved. Plus no waiting, buy book and in under a minute you are reading it.

Plus its not just for books, there are magazines, blogs, and newspapers plus email capabilities. However that maybe where those fees you heard about are. Subscription fees are required for these.

There are however drawbacks, like you’ve been told, not all books are offered for Kindle. You can do a search and see.

All in all, if you use it for ebooks only, I think it will be a great little tool that will pay for itself over time and you can always just get the books it doesn’t offer the old-fashioned way.

Other then subscription fees, which are easily avoided, nothing I’ve read or heard says anything about extra charges. It is however an Amazon device, developed by Amazon for Amazon products. I get all my books from there anyway so this is no problem for me.
